Great little family run restaurant. Good food, fair prices. The owner and staff were very kind and helpful with suggestions. A must try when you are in Luca.

Lucca In Tavola

Picturesque restaurant in the heart of beautiful Lucca.  We were a group of six and they placed us in a room detached from the main body, so it felt quite calm and private. Yet we were not forgotten, the service was prompt,  efficient and friendly. They have a very extensive menu. We recommend.mend that you still k to the traditional local dishes. Overall,  a pleasant experience.

Just had pizzas, and those were good. However... we&#39;d booked a table, but had to wait for 10 mins to be seated. It was cold - my wife had to put her coat back on. It wasn&#39;t warm outside, so you&#39;d have thought they&#39;d have turned on the heater over the (open) door, but they hadn&#39;t. There was quite a long wait before our orders were taken, then a another long wait before our food arrived. Our young waitress was apologetic - she was good, but the other 2 older more senior staff didn&#39;t seem that bothered. If I was the waitress I&#39;d be looking for a job elsewhere.We can&#39;t recommend it based on today&#39;s experience.

Very nice experience, food was great, service quick!  special thanks to the waiter who took time to speak in Italian to let us practice , I am from the catering business and I really appreciate the professionalism of the staff .

Lovely Bavarian restaurant. Excellent food and generous portions. Wide beer selection. A bit loud and definitely catering to families with children and large groups, wouldn&rsquo;t recommend if you&rsquo;re looking for quiet or romantic.

Perfect lunch at a lovely Restaruant... unexpected.  Staff were lovely and the food was an excellent.

We loved the restaurant. The staff was very welcoming and the food was excellent.  we ordered an antipasti, homemade pasta and  the florentine steak. We can&rsquo;t say enough good things - The meal was superb.

We just returned from a 2 week trip to Italy and this was by far our favorite place! The family that runs this restaurant is so welcoming from the moment you walk in the door.  The special pasta of the day was a pecorino pistachio cream sauce and it was out of this world.  You can tell there is so much passion and love in the food and in the ambience of this restaurant.  THANK YOU for an unforgettable experience.  We will return when we are back in 6 months!

We had a salad that had such great flavor and then I got the lasagna and my wife took the recommendation of getting a pasta dish with peccorini cheese and pistaccios. Both dishes were awesome. We ended the night wirg a homemade orangechello. Wonderful flavor and really refreshing. That is the review of the food.The thing that really set this restaurant apart was the service. The staff was there to answer questions and were very attentive to our needs. You could see that everyone really cared about us having a great dining experience. Between the food and the service, I would give this restaurant a 12 out of 10 score. Bravo!

This restaurant was such a great find!  As soon as we sat down the owner, Michele greeted us and welcomed us to his restaurant.  I informed him that I had a gluten sensitivity and would need to know what menu options there would be.  He assured me that they would take good care of me and pointed out several options for me on the menu.  My husband and I both had the pasta with vodka sauce and salmon and it was fantastic!  They even had a gluten free cake for dessert!   He visited out table several times throughout the evening and each time it was a delight to talk with him.  We will always go back when we are in Lucca!

This restaurant has a great atmosphere and feels more intimate than some on the main paths. There is a great selection of food and the staff are really passionate about the restaurant and attentive.
